Before my wild adventure in Colorado, I had summer camp as one of the interns at my church. I helped lead a breakout session on sharing your testimony. Through that, I got to have several one on ones that gave me peace on my career path. I know God wants me to continue pursuing my major, Christian Counseling. I think it is so amazing how God using our hardships and stories to help further the kingdom of God. Looking at my past, it all makes sense now. I cannot help but smile when I get to share my testimony, because it is a reminder God is good and had a better plan all along even when I could not see it.
This upcoming entry was done at Summer Camp on Gods grace, some notes are mine, and others I took away from the speaker or one of the leaders. I wrote this word for word in my journal and decided to share. It is raw, scattered, and not well edited. So here it is written on July 18, 2018 at 7:44pm...
Pray to live worthy of the gospel, I pray for humility, gentleness, patience, and a deep love for Gods children. I pray to be a woman of God who is truthful and obeys the commandment of not lying. Lies are scattered all throughout our lives, stop the exaggerating. Know that lying is keeping the truth hidden and that becomes harmful. Lies are attempts to create a world that does not exist, so do not partake in that. Lying reveals satins ongoing influence in our lives. Know that God has made you new in Him. We communicate because God first spoke to us, that is why communication is so important. Know that it is okay to ask questions, we are always learning about God. Pray for the discernment of knowing good verses evil. Life has meaning, life has purpose, do not let this world tell you otherwise. You have to put on truth, know that every good word God says is true. Stop wasting your time on worthless and fleeting things of this world. We can only know our purpose through Christ. Your identity is not defined by what you do or accomplish. You are not a slave to others opinions of you. Do not hide your sin and do not feel shame. Jesus dies for your sins and shame. Confess your sins and God is faithful. Know that the Bible is the story of Gods redemption to His people. God chose you, pursues you, loves you, and He does not even need you. Despite us failing Him daily, He still chooses us.
