I dont live for myself is a worship song by the band Isla Vista Worship. SO much truth is in this song. It is such a good reminder of our purpose here on earth. We get so caught up in the day to day and living for ourselves. This song is compelling and convicting.
Some of the lyrics are 'I can't get no satisfaction apart from You' and is said several times over again.
And wow.
Just listening to songs like that by yourself is so special.
When it is just you, The Lord, and truth being spoken into your life.
It makes God so joyful when we are fed truth!!!
We seem to cling to earthly things that bring us pleasure even when it is sinful.
The truth is that is not eternally satisfying, it will fade.
Our ONLY satisfaction is through Jesus.
