Be Still, God is Working.

Updated: Sep 9, 2018

I think it is crazy that God gives us every second of everyday for opportunities. Seriously, there is never intent for wasted time. Of course, whether or not we use the time God has given us is based on our actions. But, God is ALWAYS working in and through our lives. Like whaaaat?

My last journal entry was on waiting, and even in times of waiting God is working in us. In my opinion, that is when some of the biggest growth happens.

I have been traveling more than usual and therefore have been out of my normal daily routine. I have not been as proactive about my quiet times and journaling. But I have come to the realization that does not have to be the case. My every thought come morning no matter where I am should be, get in the Word and spend time with Jesus. I have been so go go go that I have not been still enough to get alone with God as much as usual. I find that the closer we get to Christ, the more we cannot bear time without Him. Kind of like when you make a new friend. You just want to spend as much time with them as possible to get to know them, and then they become your best friend, your go to, and you are always together. But no matter how long you have been friends with someone, you always learn something new you did not know about them, or their past. That is like our relationship with Jesus, we will always be learning something new. We have to be still enough to listen so we do not miss it.

Be Still, God is Working. I have a peace when I know that God is always working. He is always growing, stretching, and molding us. I don't necessarily believe in the saying "God won't give you more than you can handle". I believe God gives us more than we can handle in knowing that is how we grow as followers of Christ. When we do get put in situations we cannot handle, that is when we should run to the feet of Jesus. It teaches us that we need to be dependent in Christ alone. Getting out of your comfort zone is the best way to experience growth.

This blog is definitely all over the place, but I wanted to journal these morning thoughts!
