For some reason, I have this obsession with New York City even though I have never been there. It is my home screen as well as my computer background. I find myself searching Pinterest for New York pictures and quotes to then pin to my board of New York City. I go on google maps to look at the city from home. I also tend to love when tv shows or movies are based in New York. For example, I only watch gossip girl for two reasons, the fashion and location. Other than those two reasons, not really a fan of the show. I follow along the lives of New York city bloggers and vloggers. My favorite youtubers happen to be the ones that live in the city or visit the city often. I watch day in the life or move in day videos of people living in the city. I also have this obsession of watching New York shoebox apartment tours and figuring out what they pay for such a small space. When my major used to be fashion merchandising, my dream was to work for Kate Spade in New York even though I would most likely not like it. And knowing that New York is the fashion capital next to Paris makes me want to go even more! For some reason, I find the hustle and bustle of New York beautiful. I even have a playlist dedicated to songs about New York. It also makes me want to be productive just thinking about the city.

I always get told one of two things. That New York city is gross and overrated or that it is the best place to be. I never find someone who is in-between about the popular city. I really don't even know how my obsession began. But I wanted to write about it so I can look back and see my thoughts before I actually visited the infamous city.
